NOS in original boxes.
NOS in original military boxes and plain white boxes (original boxes are dry rotted and moldy). Great for any 6L6 amp with plate voltage at 450V or lower. Same spec's as 5881s. Great for Fender Tweed style amps, Bassmans, Vibrolux Reverbs, etc. Slightly less clean headroom than 6L6GCs.
Some have black bases, others brown. Some pairs have one of each colored base in order to get the best current and mutual conductance match.
NOS in original military boxes.
Original equipment in '60s Fender guitar amps. Classic tube for all Fender and similar amps. Some have alternate markings such as Amperex, GE, Motorola, Silvertone, etc.
The following are all manufactured by the Mullard tube company in England. Labeled and boxed as GE, RCA, Sylvania, etc. All (except for the earlier production Large Base version) are IDENTICAL. All bear the famous "center hole in the guidepin", same production codes, and exceptional Mullard quality which is second to none. These typically last decades as compared with modern production GZ34/5AR4s which last hours to a couple of years (if you're lucky).
If you liked Mazda 6V6GTs you'll love these. Limited supply on hand. Labeled and boxed as "Haltron, England". Haltron was a British tube distibutor that sold many high quality brands of tubes. Also labeled Mazda, GEC, and Brimar and sold in white boxes.
Very low in noise and microphonics. Sweet top end.
"Mike, I just wanted to say that all the tubes sound GREAT. The GE 12AX7WAs are gorgeous, full and bring out the best in my guitar...I can't even put it into words. Thanks" Matt
I liked the first set of tubes so much I have to order another one to complete this amp. Thanks again Mike!
They are amazing tubes in my ENGL Savage. Beat out Mullards and Tesla e83ccs. Mike B
Made in the USA. NOS in good original boxes.
