Manufactured in Mullard's Mitchum factory in the early 1980's. Nice military stock. Original white military boxes. Try one of these in your phase inverter or reverb driver socket (only if your amp calls for 12AT7s in these positions) in your Fender amp for a real upgrade in tone! Also superb in audiophile equipment (Macintosh), tube mics, mic preamps and studio equipment.
Hi Mike, .....
Number one choice for guitar amps where lower gain and smoother tone is required. These remove harshness in some guitar amps.ᅠᅠ
Standard Matching within 3mA.
The gold standard in 5U4GBs. 1960's through 1970's. Some labeled 5AS4 which is an EXACT replacement.

Mike,
Got the Jan Phillips tubes. Thank you for the great advice, these sound great in my Tone King. I could not believe the difference, especially on the Lead/Tweed channel. Very articulate and clear and very nice break up. I have been buying tubes from you for over 15 years and have always had great service and products from you.
Thank you,
Tim
Hi Mike,
One matched pair (within 4mA) in plain white boxes in stock (6/22/26)
These work great in old Fenders requiring 5881's or 6L6's. Good substitute in 6L6GC amps where less headroom (breakup at lower volumes) is desired. Also make great replacements in Fender Deluxe's where more clean headroom is desired. Just plug into your Deluxe and re-bias, no circuit changes required. Excellent choice for most 6L6GC amps if you'd like a little less clean headroom. These hold up well in amps with plate voltage up to 470 volts.
Very low in noise and microphonics. Sweet top end.
"Mike, I just wanted to say that all the tubes sound GREAT. The GE 12AX7WAs are gorgeous, full and bring out the best in my guitar...I can't even put it into words. Thanks" Matt
I liked the first set of tubes so much I have to order another one to complete this amp. Thanks again Mike!
They are amazing tubes in my ENGL Savage. Beat out Mullards and Tesla e83ccs. Mike B
